Full Moon in Scorpio – Monday 12th May: Let It Burn, Let It Heal

Alright, moon lovers – buckle up. Monday 12th May brings us a juicy, deeply transformative Full Moon in Scorpio and she’s not playing around.

If you’re anything like me, you might’ve already started to feel the emotional undercurrents building. Scorpio doesn’t deal in surface-level fluff. She dives deep. And when the Moon is full in this sign, it’s like the universe holding up a mirror and saying, “Right then, let’s talk about what’s really going on.”

Holding Space to Transform

This moon isn’t about pushing things away or pretending everything’s fine. It’s about holding space – for all of it. The mess, the ache, the truth you’ve been side-stepping. It’s the kind of energy that invites you to sit in the thick of your emotions, not to wallow, but to witness.

There’s something incredibly powerful about giving yourself permission to feel it all. That’s where the magic of transformation begins. Scorpio’s ruled by Pluto, planet of death and rebirth. So think shedding skin, letting go of old stories and stepping into something more aligned, even if it’s still unclear.

Feel It, Don’t Fix It (Yet)

There’s a tendency when big feelings come up to want to fix them straight away; slap on a solution, tidy up the mess, get back to “normal.” But this moon says: slow down. Let yourself feel. It’s not weak to feel lost or vulnerable or raw. In fact that’s often where your strength lives.

If something needs to fall apart under this moon, let it. Cry, rage, journal, walk under the stars – whatever helps you move it through your body. You’re not breaking. You’re breaking open.

What’s Being Lit Up?

Scorpio Full Moons shine a light on the shadowy corners. On the stuff we usually keep tucked away so don’t be surprised if old wounds, secrets or even power struggles come up for review. This isn’t to punish you. It’s a cosmic nudge to heal.

What needs forgiving? What’s asking to be released? Where have you given your power away, and how can you reclaim it gently but firmly?

It’s also a good time to look at emotional patterns and cycles – especially ones that have been quietly running the show behind the scenes. You might find yourself realising, “Oh, that’s why I always react like that,” or “I see now where that fear’s been coming from.” Awareness is everything.

Surrender, Don’t Struggle

Above all, this moon wants you to surrender. Not in a passive, giving-up way – but in a powerful, “I trust the process” kind of way. Surrender to what’s shifting, to what’s unknown, and to what’s calling you forward.

We’re not meant to have it all figured out. Sometimes we’re just meant to breathe through the changes and trust that what’s falling away is making space for something more true.

So light a candle, have a cry, talk to the moon. She’s holding you in all your mess and magic. If you’re into crystals, a moon manifestation crystal set can offer you support during this time too.

Scorpio doesn’t promise ease, but she does promise depth. And if you’re willing to go there, you might just come out the other side a little freer, a little clearer, and a lot more you.

If you’re feeling in tune with the lunar vibes, we have a range of products inspired by the powerful energies of the moon. From moon shaped crystal carvings to Moonology books, and moonstone jewellery – you can find it all here.

Big love and full moon blessings x

🜃 FULL MOON IN SCORPIO RITUAL
Monday 12th May
Theme: Transformation, Feeling, Surrender, Healing the Shadow

What You’ll Need:

1. Set Your Space

Light your candle and take a few deep breaths. Get comfy. Let the day melt away. If you’re into smudging or using essential oils, go for it – whatever helps you shift into ritual mode.

2. Ground + Tune In

Place your hands on your heart or belly.
Take 5 deep breaths.
Say (out loud or silently):

“Under this Scorpio Moon, I allow myself to feel, to heal, and to surrender. I trust the process of transformation.”

3. Journal Prompts

Write freely, don’t censor yourself. Let whatever needs to surface, surface.

  • What emotions have I been avoiding or suppressing?
  • What feels ready to be transformed or released?
  • Where have I given away my power, and how can I call it back?
  • What truth am I ready to face – even if it’s uncomfortable?
  • What am I surrendering to the moon tonight?

4. Release + Cleanse

Write down one thing you’re ready to let go of on a separate piece of paper. Fold it up.

If it’s safe to do so, burn it (carefully!) in a fireproof dish or outside, or simply tear it up and place it in the water bowl, letting it dissolve symbolically.

Say:

“I release this with love. I no longer carry what is not mine to hold.”

5. Close with Intention

Place your hands back on your heart and say:

“I honour the depth of my emotions. I trust in my healing. I welcome in the next version of myself.”

Blow out your candle and give thanks to the moon.

Optional Extras:

  • Take a salt bath to cleanse your energy
  • Listen to a Scorpio-themed playlist (moody, witchy, soulful vibes)
  • Pull a tarot or oracle card for guidance

Harnessing the Power of the Perseid Showers and August Full Moon in Daily Life

I love the month of August for the magic in the sky, I love the Persaid Meteor Shower and will still up late to watch the shower, last year I slept out under the stars at the cabin on Boxhill, it was an incredibly clear night and I felt so connected to the sky above and the ground below. I thought it would be interesting to explore how the full moon in August and The Persaid Meteor shower can help us in our daily lives right now especially as we are also in a mercury retrograde during August.

Harnessing the Energy of the Perseid Meteor Shower and the August Full Moon in Our Daily Lives

August is a month of celestial wonder and profound spiritual reflection, primarily due to two significant astronomical events: the Perseid meteor shower and the August full moon. Both phenomena offer unique opportunities for introspection, transformation, and connection with the universe. Let’s explore how these events can enhance our spiritual journey.

The Perseid Meteor Shower: A Cosmic Dance of Renewal

The Perseid meteor shower, peaking in mid-August, is renowned for its stunning display of shooting stars. Originating from the debris left by the Swift-Tuttle comet, these meteors light up the night sky with their brief but brilliant streaks. From a spiritual perspective, the Perseids symbolise a moment of renewal and the cleansing of old energies.

Symbolism and Spiritual Reflection:

  1. Fleeting Moments of Insight: The ephemeral nature of meteors reminds us of the transient quality of our experiences. Each shooting star, though brief, can be a metaphor for moments of insight and clarity in our spiritual journey. These moments may seem fleeting but can leave a lasting impact if we are mindful and present.
  2. Letting Go: The Perseids encourage us to release what no longer serves us. As the meteors burn up in the atmosphere, they remind us of the importance of letting go of old patterns, thoughts, or emotions. This is an ideal time for spiritual cleansing and setting intentions for personal transformation.
  3. Connection with the Cosmos: Observing the meteor shower can deepen our sense of connection with the universe. It serves as a reminder that we are part of a larger cosmic dance, encouraging us to reflect on our place within the grand scheme of existence.

The August Full Moon: Illuminating the Inner Self

August’s full moon on the 19th August, often known as the Sturgeon Moon, holds its own significance in our spiritual lives. Named after the large fish found in North American lakes and rivers, this moon represents abundance and harvest. It offers a powerful opportunity for illumination and personal growth.

Symbolism and Spiritual Reflection:

  1. Illumination and Clarity: The full moon bathes the night in its bright light, symbolising illumination and clarity. This is an excellent time to confront our inner shadows and gain deeper insights into ourselves. It provides the perfect backdrop for meditation and reflection on our spiritual path.
  2. Harvest and Abundance: Traditionally, the full moon in August signifies a time of harvest. Spiritually, this can represent the fruition of our efforts and the manifestation of our desires. It’s a moment to celebrate our achievements and acknowledge the abundance in our lives.
  3. Emotional Release and Healing: The full moon is associated with heightened emotions. It can be a powerful time to release emotional baggage and heal old wounds. Engaging in rituals or practices that facilitate emotional release can help us align with our higher self and foster inner peace.

Integrating the Perseids and Full Moon into Your Spiritual Journey

To fully harness the spiritual potential of these celestial events, consider the following practices:

  1. Stargazing and Meditation: Spend time under the night sky during the Perseid meteor shower. Use this opportunity for meditation, focusing on letting go of old patterns and setting new intentions. Allow the beauty and energy of the meteors to inspire and guide you.
  2. Journaling and Reflection: After observing the Perseids and the full moon, take some time to journal your thoughts and feelings. Reflect on what you wish to release and what you hope to manifest. This can provide valuable insights and strengthen your spiritual journey.
  3. Rituals and Ceremonies: Engage in rituals that honour both the Perseids and the full moon. This could include lighting candles, creating vision boards, or performing a release ceremony. Align your rituals with the themes of renewal, illumination, and abundance.
  4. Connection with Nature: Spend time in nature to ground yourself and connect with the Earth. The energy of the natural world can enhance your spiritual practice and help you align with the cosmic rhythms.

August’s Perseid meteor shower and full moon offer a profound opportunity for spiritual growth and transformation. By embracing the transient beauty of the meteors and the illuminating light of the full moon, we can gain deeper insights into ourselves and our journey. These celestial events remind us of our connection to the cosmos and the endless possibilities for renewal and abundance.

As you gaze up at the night sky this August, let the Perseids and the full moon inspire you to reflect, release, and renew. Embrace this magical time as a chance to align with your higher self and continue your spiritual journey with clarity and purpose.

Pluto In Aquarius

There are a lot of amazing and exciting planetary changes happening this year. Arguably, one of the biggest, most significant changes is with planet Pluto moving into Aquarius. The change started back on 20th January, when Pluto moved into the sign Aquarius. It’ll stay here until 1st September, when it will retrograde back into Capricorn till November 19th. Once it’s back in Aquarius, it’ll be there until 8th March 2043! So what does this all mean? Let’s find out…

The Planet of Transformation

Let’s begin by finding out a little more about Pluto. In astrology, Pluto is known as the planet of transformation, power, and regeneration. It represents the subconscious, deep-seated desires, and the process of death and rebirth. Pluto controls the power of transformation on both a collective and personal level. It rules over major life changes and is often associated with intense experiences that lead to profound personal growth. Pluto’s influence can feel very intense, especially in areas of change, or where power struggles and pyschological depth are at play. Due to its slow orbit, Pluto’s influence is generational rather than personal. Its placement in your birth chart can indicate shared experiences and themes with other individuals born during the same period.

All About Aquarius

The sign Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, it symbolises innovation, intellect, and independence. This air sign (January 20th – February 18th) thrives on progressive ideas, humanitarianism, and social change. This energy fosters unconventional thinking and a commitment to breaking norms. Aquarius represents the collective, pushing for equality and freedom for all.

What Can We Expect?

When Pluto moves through Aquarius it intensifies the desire for change and reform in social, political, and technological areas. So what can we expect? Well, during this time we can expect a shift in how we as a society perceive technology, specifically with advances in AI, robotics, and virtual reality. These all have the potential to significantly transform various industries. We might also see issues related to privacy, surveillance, as well as the ethical implications of technological advancements.

Pluto in Aquarius will also highlight the importance of collective action and commiunity initiatives. Social activism, grassroots movements, and efforts to address systemic issues around things like inequality and injustice might also gain momentum during this time.

On a personal level, what does this mean for us all? Well, Pluto’s transit through Aquarius can bring about deep introspection, and a desire for personal empowerment. We might feel compelled to break away free from the societal norms, and embrace our uniqueness. This could be the perfect opportunity for a period of self-discovery, and authenticity. However, it’s also worth noting that Pluto’s influence in Aquarius can also be disruptive, as we remove the old and outdated, to make way for the new. This could relate to work, views and perceptions, as well as relationships. It is essential to navigate this time with awareness and resilience; understanding that change is an essential part of growth.

So if you are feeling the need for change you’ll now know why. Interesting too that there are changes afoot with politics here in the UK too. A mayoral election coming up in May, and potentially a general election at some point this year, or early next year. Overall, Pluto in Aquarius in 2024 will offer us all the opportunity for personal and societal change and growth. It’s the time to embrace innovation, change and work towards an equal and more sustainable future.
